ABOUT THIS PROJECT

New Electrical Service Design

For this project, SES designed and installed a new electrical system to replace an outdated system.  SES crews identified and labeled all existing circuits and removed existing electrical equipment. A concrete pad was poured to accommodate the new configuration that included 480v/600amp service entrance switchgear, 480v/600amp motor control center, 120/240v and 277/480v panel boards, and a new 75kVa transformer.

The project required that a new ground grid be installed, which required SES to locate all conduit runs and to refeed these to the existing equipment. SES’ close coordination with Western Refinery’s maintenance crews and Arizona Public Service resulted in a smooth transition to the new system, from the old system to the new smooth for all involved.  The new system was designed to allow for future expansion.
