Established in 1996 by parent company UniSource Energy Corporation, Southwest Energy Solutions provides a wide variety of ancillary energy products and services to commercial and industrial customers.
 
In 1997 SES entered into an agreement with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) providing electrical contracting services below 600 volts.
 
In 2000 SES entered into an agreement with Tucson Electric Power to provide all electric meter-reading services.
 
In 2002 SES entered into agreements with Tucson Electric Power and Springerville Generation Station providing a supplemental workforce which totals over 60 employees. Ranging from entry level utility workers to highly qualified technical personnel.
 
In 2005 SES entered into an agreement with UES Mohave County, AZ providing meter reading services throughout Northwest Arizona. In the same year SES also entered into an agreement with the City of Kingman, Arizona to provide water meter reading services.
 
In 2006 SES established a Line Locating (Blue Stake) division performing locates in Pima County, AZ.
